MORE TH>N offers safe drivers 20% discount with launch of telematics app

MORE TH>N, UK insurer, has launched MORE TH>N DRIVE, a new telematics app which rewards safe drivers with up to 20% off their car insurance.

Designed in conjunction with telematics specialist Wunelli, MORE TH>N DRIVE is aimed at experienced drivers and is available to download free of charge on the iPhone and Android phones.
 
Once someone has downloaded MORE TH>N DRIVE, their driving style is assessed for 200 miles with feedback provided after each journey on how to become a safer driver. A discount of up to 20% is then generated based on factors such as acceleration, braking and speed which can be applied to any new car insurance quote received through the app. The maximum discount can be used on all cover levels with any quote.
 
Commenting on the new app, Matt Pernet, MORE TH>N Motor Director, said: “Drivers want to be rewarded for being safe and are also looking for ways to cut the cost of driving. The launch of MORE TH>N DRIVE enables us to do both. As experienced drivers are often put off by the idea of having a black box in their car we’ve created a simple phone app instead. Although aimed at experienced drivers, anyone is welcome to use MORE TH>N DRIVE as the ultimate objective is to encourage people to be safer when driving and reward them for this.”
 
In addition to MORE TH>N DRIVE, RSA will continue to work with ingenie, providing insurance for young drivers through its black box technology.
