Final phase of new homes at Arniston Vale in Gorebridge

4th March 2014 Print

Taylor Wimpey has launched the final phase of 66 new homes at Arniston Vale, off Lady Brae in Gorebridge offering an impressive mix of three and four bedroom homes.

This final phase will complete the development, and it is the last chance to snap up a new home at Arniston Vale. The choice of new homes in this phase further increases the appeal of this development to a wide range of buyers.

Prices currently range from £139,750 for the last remaining two bedroom Andrew 2 terrace on the existing phase up to £249,999 for the impressive four bedroom detached Maxwell 2.

The Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme is available on all new homes at this development, and this makes Arniston Vale even more accessible for a wide range of buyers. Karen Armstrong, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland explains: “The introduction of a range of two bedroom homes adds to the overall choice for buyers who are considering this great development as their next place to call home.

“When you consider the additional support that’s available to buyers from the Government supported Help to Buy (Scotland) initiative, as well as our own helpful incentives such as Easymover to assist in a stress-free move – it adds up to a great time to consider a move to this development.”

The Help to Buy (Scotland) measures include an interest-free equity loan scheme, which is available on new build properties up to the value of £400,000, and it is possible to repay the Scottish Government’s equity stake at any time. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the interest-free equity loan scheme, and it is available to both first time buyers and existing homeowners alike.

Eligible purchasers will receive a Scottish Government interest-free loan of up to 20%, which means that they only need to put down a 5% deposit and you may only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. For example – based on £139,750 for the two bedroom Andrew terrace home, you will need £6,988 deposit, £27,950 would be provided from the Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme and you would require a mortgage for the remaining £104,812.

Karen Armstrong, adds: “We recognise that buying a home can be a financially daunting prospect for many and we want to ensure that buyers get all the help they need to make their move to a new home. We have already helped hundreds of buyers to get on to the property ladder, and the release of our final phase of new homes at Arniston Vale in Gorebridge offers an excellent opportunity for buyers to get on the move sooner than they might have thought.”

With a commanding position within the village of Gorebridge overlooking the rolling Moorfoot Hills and the majestic Pentland Hills – Taylor Wimpey’s Arniston Vale development really does offer rooms with a view.
