Escape to a new home in Kilmarnock thanks to Help to Buy
Prospective buyers looking to move to a new home can find out how they can secure their dream move using the Scottish Government supported Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme at a free event being held at Dunsmuir Park in Kilmarnock. Buyers can also take advantage of a £99 reservation offer at this event.
The event will offer buyers an opportunity to find out how Help to Buy (Scotland) can help them to make their dream move to a new home at Dunsmuir Park, plus an IFA (independent financial advisor) will be available to offer free financial advice. The event will take place on Saturday 1 March 2014 at Dunsmuir Park, just off John Walker Drive from 12pm-4pm.
The Help to Buy (Scotland) measures include an interest-free equity loan scheme, which will be available on new build properties up to the value of £400,000, and the Scottish Government’s equity stake can be repaid at any time. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the equity loan scheme, and it is available to both first time buyers and existing homeowners alike. Eligible purchasers will receive a Scottish Government interest-free loan of up to 20%, which means that they only need to put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.
Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland comments: “Help to Buy (Scotland) is available on each of the eight styles of homes we have available for sale at Dunsmuir Park, and we’re confident our informal Help to Buy (Scotland) information event will allow prospective buyers to find out more about the scheme, and how it could help them to move to a new home. We’ve already helped a number of buyers to secure their dream home using this scheme and we’re confident this event will allow buyers to take advantage of our experience both in Help to Buy (Scotland) but the property market generally in order to make a stress-free move in 2014.”
