Don’t Drive Distracted

25th March 2014 Print

There are plenty of distractions when driving, from looking out of the window at that new building being constructed, chatting to your passengers or choosing some top tunes to blast out on your journey.

But for the under-25s, the distractions are less visual and more virtual. Most distractions for this age group revolve around their mobile phone. If it’s not within site, even when at wheel, serious withdrawal symptoms appear to kick in.

A poll by specialist young driver insurer ingenie has revealed the top distractions for drivers under 25 as part of its Don’t Drive Distracted campaign. Hosted on the ingenie website, the infographic is entitled “Mobile apps: the top 10 worst offenders”.

The Don’t Drive Distracted campaign appeals for people to make their own personal pledge against being distracted when driving via Twitter or by sharing a picture on Instagram.
