New specialist insurance company broadens drivers’ horizons

A new specialist broker service aimed at the higher than average premium market is set to widen the options available to motorists looking for insurance.

Former Kwik Fit Financial Services chief Brendan Devine has launched Sure Thing Insurance Services Limited - a sophisticated new operation that has in place an advanced technology and customer system.    

The company, which prides itself on its straightforward, quick and uncomplicated process, has a wealth of experience on board and has secured multi-million pound backing through private investment to create a tailor-made experience that puts motorists firmly in the driving seat. 

Brendan Devine will spearhead and direct the company, whilst Steve Hardy, co-founder of SwiftCover, and Peter Hubbard, CEO of UK General Insurance Limited, are on the board as non-executive directors.

Devine believes that Sure Thing! will serve an area of the motor insurance market that has been overlooked for some time, including modified and performance car drivers, those with claims and/or convictions and younger drivers, and has built the brand entirely around the needs and demands of the 21st century driver.

He said: “With financial backing from high profile, sector-relevant sources and a management team with diverse experience, insight and know-how, we feel we have an excellent base from which to launch a brand new insurance broker to the market.

“Our business model has been carefully developed to widen the choice and accessibility of insurance to an area of the market that I believe has had limited options in the past. We have been working closely with a panel of some of the country’s leading insurance companies to create the right product at the right time for today’s audience.

The Sure Thing! customer journey has been designed with today’s digitally savvy consumer in mind, ensuring everything is completely accessible from all devices, including smart phones, laptops and tablets. A full self-service customer portal has also been introduced to enable online mid-term adjustments and instant access to documents.  Online capabilities will be complemented by specially trained staff in place to enhance the overall experience.

Based at a 5,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art premises within Eurocentral near Glasgow, the company has an option to more than double its floor space and increase headcount to around 140 over the next two years.
