Step back in time at the ‘Classic & Vintage Commercial Show’
Visitors can step back in time when the Heritage Motor Centre hosts the seventh ‘Classic and Vintage Commercial Show’ in conjunction with Kelsey Publishing and their “Classic and Vintage Commercials” magazine. The colourful two day show, which is the largest classic commercial show in Europe, will take place on Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 June from 10am – 5pm. Around 4,000 visitors are expected to converge on this nostalgic show which will showcase over 400 commercial vehicles prior to 1989. A 1957 Dalmore Distillery Commer QX will be travelling down under its own steam from North of Inverness in Scotland, setting out on the Thursday prior to the show and arriving on the Friday afternoon.
As usual the Kelsey Media trade stand will be at the show where visitors will be able to talk to the new Classic and Vintage Commercials magazine editor, Peter Simpson. There will be over 70 commercial vehicle/transport related trade stands outside and over 10 indoor traders selling vehicles spares, photographs, die-cast models, brochures and tools amongst other things. Visitors can also wander around the two indoor model show’s featuring over 160 tables of models on display including kit built or scratch built models in different scales.
Tom Caren, Show Manager for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “This show continues to attract the classic lorry enthusiast every year and there are always a number of new restorations for visitors to enjoy alongside some of our other favourite vehicles. This is also very much a social occasion with people seeing and catching up with old faces that they haven’t seen since last year’s show.”
A one day advance ticket costs £12 for adults, £5 for children, and £10 for concessions. A two day advance ticket costs £22 for adults, £10 for children and £17 for concessions.
