Santander’s summer special 1% cashback credit card bonus beats booking blues
To help customers anticipate a happy holiday this summer, Santander has launched a holiday travel offer which provides an extra 1% bonus cashback when holders use its 1|2|3 credit card to book flights, hotels and at travel agents from 1 June 2014 to 31 August 2014 inclusive.
All 1|2|3 credit cardholders, existing and new, can benefit from the 1% bonus cashback, which is uncapped so the there is no maximum amount that can be earned.
The bonus is in addition to the existing 1% cashback on purchases at all major supermarkets, 2% cashback at all major department stores, and 3% cashback at all major petrol stations and on national rail and Transport for London travel.

The bank is reminding customers to borrow and book wisely when taking advantage of the 1% cashback offer. For example, some providers may levy a credit card processing fee, and holidays booked or purchases made abroad in a currency other than sterling may incur in a non-sterling transaction fee.
Santander 1|2|3 credit card also features 18 months interest free on purchases and a low APR of 16.5% including the annual fee.
Ruben Justel added: “Together with the 1% bonus cashback, customers now have a very competitive shorter term borrowing option for larger purchases such as holidays or home improvements, and a competitive interest rate once the interest free period ends if they have not paid off the balance in full.”
The annual fee is waived for the first year for new cardholders who also hold a Santander 1|2|3 current account and the 1|2|3 credit card now has contactless technology, making it easier and quicker to pay for items that cost less than £20. Customers also become part of the 1|2|3 World proposition and have access to the associated benefits such as exclusive savings rates and discounted insurance premiums.
