A Wakefield housing venture is graduating to further new family homes to cope with current demand.

The range of three and four-bedroom homes at Redrow’s Scholars’ Gate development have been selling fast since the venture opened in May 2012 .

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “We’ve had great feedback from buyers and visitors to Scholars’ Gate so far. Lots of new homes are on their way and we’d urge would-be buyers to come and take a look at the showhomes and the new properties on offer so they can be first in the queue when they are released for sale.”

Among the homes will be a new housetype from Redrow, the four-bedroom ‘Welwyn’. The Welwyn is an addition to the housebuilder’s award-winning Heritage Collection and boasts an en suite to the master bedroom as well as a spacious open plan kitchen / dining and family room. There’s also an integral double garage that adds to those all-important storage solutions.

Redrow’s Heritage Collection homes feature traditional looking exteriors, reminiscent of the Arts & Crafts era, but they boast contemporary interiors ideal for modern family living.

Located off Ruskin Avenue, current availability at Scholars’ Gate includes a choice of four-bedroom detached homes, with prices starting from £287,950.

Convivial open plan layouts put kitchens at the heart of the homes. All kitchens are well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances including oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage.

The availability of Help to Buy – knocking 20% off the initial asking price with an equity loan that’s interest free for five years – makes the homes even more attractive.
