Samsung enhances Kids Store on its mobile devices
Samsung has announced its updated Kids Store feature which is available in Kids Mode on the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Tab S. The Kids Store allows you to not only shop for free or paid apps for children, but also helps you protect your children from unwanted content with the option to set up safeguards.
“With research from Futuresource Consulting revealing that 35% of children aged between 3 and 12 now own a tablet, it looks like these devices are set to be the primary entertainment gadget over the summer holidays.” said Rob Orr, Vice President, IT & Mobile division at Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland. “Samsung is committed to providing interesting and educational content to children, while continuing its effort to help parents protect their children and allow them to enjoy safe, parent-approved content.”
The Kids Store now offers 900 specially selected applications which are enjoyed by children around the world including LEGO, Pocoyo and Tipitap, as well as educational content such as Agnitus, Little Bridge English and Creative Corner. The Kids Store is available in 150 countries around the world.
Using Kids Mode on the Tab S and Galaxy S5, your children can draw, watch videos, record their voices with funny cartoon effects and take pictures. Children can only choose applications from the Kids Store, and through the Parental Control feature, children can only purchase content approved by you as a password must be entered for all purchases.
Kids Mode was released in October 2013 with the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Kids tablet, designed to provide a safe, fun and educational experience for children while giving parents the information and control they want.
