Heritage Motor Centre to host brand new Bus Festival

The Heritage Motor Centre is to host an exciting new show on Sunday 31 August to thrill bus and coach enthusiasts. ‘Buses Festival 2014’ will feature up to 100 restored Buses and Coaches including, a 1994 (previously 1974) rebodied Leyland Atlantean and a much admired 1961 AEC Bridgemaster. There will also be modern PSVs such as a 2014 Volvo double-decker and industry suppliers and traders in attendance including London Transport Auctions, British Bus Publishing and TTC Diecast.

Visitors to the show can also enjoy heritage bus rides around local routes and the HMC’s internal road network. The Museum offers excellent additional entertainment with over 180 vehicles on display showcasing British innovations in both road and race cars. Entry to the Museum is included within the show price. In addition, the Centre has first class catering facilities, toilets, including disabled facilities and a gift shop.

Tom Caren, Show Manager for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “Our new Bus Festival is set to be one of the best classic and modern bus and coach events of the year and a great day out for all the family”.

Advance tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for children (aged 5 – 15 years) or £12 for adults and £8 for children on the day.
