New homebuyers can take advantage of a free moving solutions event that gives them the chance to ‘Meet the Experts’ at a series of local events being hosted at Taylor Wimpey developments across the east of Scotland. This set of free and informal drop-in events will offer potential buyers an opportunity to discover more about the help that’s available to get them on the move to a new home.

‘Meet the Experts’ events will run from 12-4pm every Sunday from 31 August, 2014 throughout the Autumn starting at Seton Park in Winchburgh and Arniston Vale in Gorebridge; moving to Heartlands and Kingsmeadow in Peebles on 7 September; Ochil Gardens in Alloa and Hopefield Gait in Bonnyrigg on 14 September; Fordell Lea in Dunfermline and The Scholars in Dalkeith on 21 September, and finally Carnegie Grange in Dunfermline and Ferrier Way in Armadale on 28 September.

Buyers will have access to an independent financial advisor who will offer a financial health-check to see how you can make your move affordable, and Taylor Wimpey’s own team will also be on-hand to offer advice on its part-exchange and Easymover schemes. It’s a great one-stop event to give buyers the information they need to make their move to a new home easy.

The choice of different incentive schemes and their availability can be bewildering for buyers regardless of where they are on the property ladder. This series of events are designed to help buyers find their path to a new home without any stress or worry, whilst having the chance to take advantage of the best incentive scheme that suits their circumstances.

From part-exchange to the Help to Buy mortgage guarantee scheme that offers credit-worthy buyers access to a wide range of lower cost mortgages, as well as Taylor Wimpey’s Easymover scheme, or even the impressive range of starbuy initiatives on selected new homes at developments across the region, there is a lot of information for buyers to digest. An opportunity to ‘Meet the Experts’ is a great chance for buyers to get all the information they need in one visit.

Karen Armstrong, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “People still want to move to a new home but are sometimes worried about getting the right mortgage deal or don’t want the hassle of selling their property.

“Plus there’s so much information available on different incentive schemes that buyers can feel overwhelmed, on top of the worry of all the additional fees and costs associated with moving house.

“Through our free ‘Meet the Experts’ events we will bring together the experts that buyers need to chat to in one friendly and informal event – making the whole prospect of buying and moving to a new home stress-free.”
