Once again amateur chefs and bakers across the country are ironing out the aprons, dusting off recipe books and oiling the rolling pins as The Great British Bake Off returns for a fifth season. Located in North Devon, Abbotsham Seaview is a beautifully furnished house complete with a stunning kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, dishwasher, microwave and many extras, coupled with wonderful sea views. This kitchen is perfect for group cooking with huge preparation surfaces and a conveniently located dining table to ensure no one is left out of the fun. Sleeping eight, the price for seven nights from 11 October is £735.

Trethurffe Manor is a fabulous 200 year old detached farmhouse sleeping 12 and set in five acres of gardens. The kitchen reflects the farmhouse setting of the property with ornate granite flooring, a preparation island and an Aga cooker. This property also comes with a second kitchen area complete with cooker and washing facilities and a slate floor pantry with two fridge/freezers ensures all your ingredients will find a home here. The price for seven nights from 30 August is £1830.

For a cottage with a ‘cook’s kitchen,’ look no further than Tay House in Central Scotland. With a large oil-fired Aga, this large kitchen has a quarry tiled floor and a seating area looking out over the River Tay and the Sidlaw Hills. With pots and pans to suit every occasion, this is the ultimate country cooking retreat. Sleeping eight, the price for seven nights from 30 August is £965.
