Volkswagen at the centre of regeneration

A leading Plymouth business is reaping the rewards of being at the very heart of a multi-million pound regeneration of Millbay in the city.

Murray Volkswagen, on Millbay Road, underwent its own redevelopment last year to provide a state of the art digital showroom, as well as Volkswagen UK’s first integrated Direct Express facility.

The showroom, aftersales hub and workshop were a huge investment, demonstrating a real commitment to the Plymouth business community as well as being a shot in the arm for the local economy.

And that investment and commitment is now paying off as the dealership finds itself in the very centre of a five year development programme that is changing the face of this south coast town.

Richard Willman, Brand Manager at Murray Volkswagen (Plymouth) said: “It is very exciting to be in the middle of Millbay’s major regeneration.

“Volkswagen is at the very heart of the area, and I want to take this opportunity to remind all of our existing and prospective customers that we are still here at the same location.

“The area may be changing, but we continue to deliver the same reliable, unbeatable Volkswagen service that we always have.”

Millbay is being delivered by the English Cities Fund (ECf), a public and private regeneration partnership. As well as delivering hundreds of new homes, a new marina and a new free school, a new boulevard will link Plymouth city centre to the waterfront, right up to Millbay Road.
