Vauxhall’s first ever Ice Rink

This festive season Ice Skate Vauxhall, a brand new winter experience comes to the heart of the Capital for the first time, located in the historic Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in Nine Elms on the South Bank. All the action kicks off on 21st November, running through the Christmas period until 4th January 2015, with an early bird discount on tickets booked before November 21st. Set in the vibrant heart of South London, visitors to Ice Skate Vauxhall can experience a full size 600sqm urban Ice Rink and London’s FIRST Christmas Tree Maze, made from Nordmann fir trees. Adding to the atmosphere will be Street Entertainers, Urban Skater Trick Teams, an extended Street Market of London’s top pop-up eateries, plus shopping at the Artisan Craft Market, thrills on traditional rides and much more.  Join us each weekend for Skate Brunch, a new take on the traditional brunch!

After gliding around the first ever Ice Rink in Nine Elms, Londoners can lose themselves in the unique Christmas Tree Maze, a first for the Capital. This beautiful addition to the iconic landscape has walls made from hundreds of Nordmann Fir trees, sourced from some of South London’s finest Christmas Tree specialists and will be lit up with thousands of sparkling LED fairy lights. The maze will cover almost a square kilometer, so we invite you to work your way through this magical Christmas experience and find a very special festive guest waiting for you at the heart of the maze!  This is truly one of a kind and is sure to get you into the celebratory spirit. 

Throughout the skating season, Ice Skate Vauxhall blends a variety of treats in the Gardens with bespoke shopping at the Artisan Craft Market. Featuring stalls selling beautiful handmade craft & art treasures, from prints and cards, to unique homewares, handicrafts and more…this will be a Christmas shopper’s haven and a great place to shop for unique stocking fillers.

For those who’ve worked up a thirst on the Rink, the Pop-up Cabin Bar will be serving hot chocolate, mulled wine and a range of craft beers, ciders and snacks.  Or, if all the fun & excitement has left you feeling peckish, pick up a tasty treat at the sumptuous street food stalls. For foods fans, each weekend from 10am – 1pm Skate Brunch takes over. 

Visitors can enjoy a skate, a bite and a drink from speciality menus on offer from the latest and greatest pop up food market stalls. Plus, don’t miss the iconic London Bus Fish & Chip Company, who’s Routemaster bus will be on hand serving up traditional Fish & Chips to warm you up at Skate Brunch and beyond. 

Easily accessible by rail, tube & bus from Vauxhall Station and the Albert Embankment, Ice Skate Vauxhall offers skate sessions open from Sunday to Thursday, 11am to 8pm and from 11am to 9pm on Fridays & Saturday.  Ice Skate Vauxhall opens on Friday, 21st November 2014 through until Sunday 4th January 2015 and tickets are available NOW from £10.95 per Adult & £8.95 per child.
