Julian Alps in Slovenia: New guided walking destination for 2015
Discover the breathtaking scenery of the Julian Alps in Slovenia – a tiny nation sitting at the crossroads of Europe – on a new-for-2015 guided walking holiday courtesy of HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking holiday organisation.
Enjoy a choice of two different walks each day in this dramatic Alpine region – which borders Italy and Austria and boasts contrasting landscapes such as towering mountains, flower-filled meadows and cascading waterfalls.
Highlights of the holiday include walking in Triglav National Park amid impressive limestone peaks; along the picturesque shores of Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj and on the wooden walkways through the Vintgar Gorge.
There’s also the opportunity to ascend Debela pec – the highest point on the Lipanca ridge – as well as Sila and Vogel above Lake Bohinj and to enjoy fantastic views from high above Kranjska Gora.
Accommodation is at the three-star Hotel Astoria Bled – located within walking distance of Bled town centre, the lakeshore and castle – and its facilities include a wellness centre with sauna and spa pool together with a gym and bar.
Available with a selection of departures between May and September, the cost is from £699 per person, land-only or from £899 inclusive of return Stansted flights and transfers (or with flights from Manchester, there’s a supplement of £80pp).
These twin-share prices also include seven nights’ half-board, the full programme of guided walks and the services of experienced HF Holidays’ leaders.
