Five ways to go Historic Rallying at Historic Rally Car Register Open Day

The Historic Rally Car Register is offering visitors five different ways to go historic rallying when it takes place at the Heritage Motor Centre on Saturday 10 January. The event is the season opener for enthusiasts of historic rallying, one of the fastest growing motorsports in the UK. The event will launch a number of different concepts and Championships including The HRCR Speed Series, The HRCR Premier Rally Championship, The HRCR Old Stager Historic Rally Championship, HRCR Scenic Tours Series and celebrate 21 Years of the HRCR Clubman’s Road Rally Championship.

Members and non-members are welcome to display their pre-1984 rally cars which can be viewed in the outdoor display arena and in the main show halls. Visitors will also have the opportunity of meeting organisers, club shop & specialist suppliers and organising clubs.

John Bishop, Clubs, Groups & Rallies Senior Co-ordinator at the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We are delighted to have the HRCR here launching the different Championships at the 2015 Open Day along with a celebration of 21 years of the HRCR Clubman’s Road Rally Championship, which is currently attracting record numbers of registered contenders. For those interested in classic rallying this nostalgic event will be a great day out and a fantastic opportunity to see so many pre-1984 rally cars on display.”

Entry to the HRCR open day is free of charge and attendees can visit the Museum on the day for the discounted rate of £6 per person. The open day is open from 9:30am – 4pm with the Museum open from 10am – 5pm.
