Eurocargo ‘perfect’ for home delivery role

The Eurocargo 75E17s replace two existing Iveco Cargos and join a fleet of ten commercial vehicles, supplied predominantly by Iveco. They will be used for multi-drop domestic deliveries of home furnishings across the Midlands, making up to 20 deliveries per day, six days a week.
Simon Foulkes, Director of Cole’s of Bilston, explains: “Experience has demonstrated that the Eurocargo, like its predecessor, is perfect for home delivery operations where you need to combine good manoeuvrability with a vehicle capable of accommodating a healthy payload.
“The Eurocargo also offers a spacious cab, providing the driver with a comfortable working environment and good visibility – essential when making deliveries in busy urban environments,” he adds.
Both vehicles have been supplied on five year Iveco Costcare repair and maintenance contracts, which will see all servicing work carried out at Guest Trucks’ dealership in Wolverhampton.
The Eurocargo 75E17S is one of the most popular models in Iveco’s Eurocargo range, which has been styled by Stile Bertone, the famous Italian design house. It represents a considerable product range that can be mission-matched to all types of applications, with over 3,000 possible configurations available from the 300 basic models.
It is powered by Iveco’s proven 3.9 litre four-cylinder tector engine, which is capable of producing up to 170 hp at 2,700 rev/min and a maximum torque of 560 Nm between 1,200 and 2,100 rev/min, driven through a six speed synchromesh gearbox.
Iveco’s popular CargoLiner bodywork programme enables an operator to order a standard CargoLiner box, curtainside, dropside or tipper bodied vehicle, and subject to availability, have it on the road almost immediately. All CargoLiner bodies come with a comprehensive three year warranty and are manufactured by Boalloy, with tipper models produced by Britt-Tip.
