Iveco Stralis to take centre stage at CV Show 2007

7th March 2007 Print
Iveco Stralis Iveco is preparing to exhibit a full range of vans and trucks together with products from Irisbus and Iveco Motors / Fiat Powertrain Technologies at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2007.

Examples from the Daily, Eurocargo and Stralis ranges will be featured on the Iveco stand which is located at the entrance to Hall 5. The eagerly anticipated ‘New’ Stralis (due to be launched internationally in March 2007) will take pride of place, with two Euro 5 tractors finished in the striking new All Blacks livery to celebrate Iveco’s latest global sponsorship agreement.

The first Stralis on show will be the range-topping AS440S56TX/P 6x2 tractor unit, for long distance UK and international haulage operations. This vehicle is powered by a 12.8 litre Cursor 13 engine producing up to 560 hp and benefits from the new Super CUBE cab, which offers a 20 per cent increase in interior space together with additional storage and new trim. Its high specification also includes climate control air-conditioning, leather seats, factory fitted satellite navigation and 12-speed automated EuroTronic gearbox, with overdrive top gear.

Joining this vehicle will be a Stralis AT440S42T/P 4x2 tractor unit, featuring a high roof cab with twin bunks, designed for distribution and fleet operations as well as medium to long-haul domestic missions. Power is provided by a 10.3 litre Cursor 10 engine which is capable of producing up to 420 hp, driven through a 12-speed automated EuroTronic gearbox.

Iveco’s proven Eurocargo line-up, which comprises over 3,000 possible configurations from the 300 basic models, will be represented by two Euro 5 models comprising a 7.5 and an 18 tonne rigid.

The Eurocargo 75E16P is built on a 4,185 mm wheelbase, with a day cab and rear-air suspension, and powered by a 160 hp example of Iveco’s 3.9 litre tector engine. It will be joined by a Eurocargo 180E25K tipper chassis, built on the same 4,185mm wheelbase, but featuring a more powerful 250 hp 5.9 litre tector engine.

Completing the Iveco line-up will be two Daily light commercial vehicles, including a 35S18 to represent Iveco’s strong position in the 3.5 tonne van market – the single largest van sector of them all. This Daily is built on the longest 3,950 mm wheelbase and offers a load space area of 17.2m³ - just one of eight different volumes available from 7m³. Power comes from a 3.0 litre HPT (High Performance Turbo) engine, developing up to 176 hp.

It will be joined by a Daily 50C15 chassis cab, with a 3,750mm wheelbase, and powered by a 146 hp example of the same 3.0 litre HPT engine. This vehicle is designed to highlight the bodybuilding flexibility afforded by the Daily range, which is a popular choice for tipper, dropside, curtainside, Luton, box and various refrigerated applications.

Irisbus

The Iveco stand will also feature an Irisbus Daily 50C15 minibus, featuring 16 removable passenger seats, underfloor tail-lift, electric mid-door, panoramic windows, roof hatch/vent, Eberspacer saloon heater and four interior lights with a night light facility.

Iveco Motors / Fiat Powertrain Technologies

Iveco Motors / Fiat Powertrain Technologies – the world's largest manufacturer of diesel engines over 70 hp – will also be displaying a selection of diesel engines from across the range, which spans the 2.3 to 30 litre sector.
