FTA inspections for Iveco dealers

16th April 2008 Print
Iveco Limited and the Freight Transport Association have agreed on a programme to further improve the O-licence understanding within the Iveco dealer network.

Each dealership will nominate a ‘compliance point of contact’ who will receive all correspondence, legislation updates, e-news, publications and have access to the FTA Member Advice Centre. This contact will then circulate relevant issues within the dealership departments locally.

In addition, each service manager will be attending the FTA one-day dealer mini CPC course. This course has been very well received from industry trials undertaken earlier in 2008.

Bob Lowden, Iveco Director of Customer Service said, ‘Since VOSA introduced the Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) last year, vehicle operators have become much more aware of their standards and obligations. Iveco dealerships and workshops are at the sharp end and can help operators improve their scores. If the Iveco service teams fully understand the O-licence process, they will also appreciate and improve customer needs generally. We already evaluate and monitor our service standards and annual test pass rates which are amongst the best in the UK.’

FTA is highlighting the dealership package, including technical training at the CV Show - 15–17 April - NEC - Hall 8 Stand 240.
