Iveco heavy truck range fuelled up for 2009
Iveco dealers across the UK are offering retail customers 1,000 litres of free fuel with the purchase and registration of any new Stralis or Trakker heavy truck until 31 March 2009.This first quarter special promotion is being run in conjunction with Key Fuels, with the free fuel able to be drawn from any site within Key Fuels’ extensive network, which spans the length and breadth of the UK.
Andrea Bucci, Marketing Director at Iveco UK, says: “In the current climate any saving for a road transport operator will be a welcome benefit, and we hope 1,000 litres of free fuel will get their new Stralis or Trakker off to a healthy start. At current pump prices it equates to nearly £1,000 in free diesel, which means a healthy saving for the bottom line.
“Combined with the added incentive of purchasing and registering a Euro 5 vehicle ahead of the 30 September 2009 Reduced Pollution Certificate deadline, operators will also be eligible to receive a discount of £500 per year in Vehicle Excise Duty for the duration of the vehicle’s life. Over the course of an average five year life on the fleet, this equates to a saving of £2,500 per vehicle – on top of the free fuel bonus,” he adds.
Iveco’s Stralis range includes over 2,000 variants between 19 and 44 tonnes, comprising the flagship Active Space models for long-haul UK and international haulage, the Active Time for distribution and fleet operations as well as medium to long-haul domestic missions, and the Active Day, which is aimed at short-haul distribution markets for rigid, tractor and drawbar applications.
It is complemented by the dedicated on/off-road range of Trakker vehicles, which benefit from a Stralis-based cab, offering the same degree of comfort for construction and quarry work as is typical of Iveco’s on-road line-up of vehicles. Model variants include 4x4, 6x4, 6x6 and 8x4 rigid configurations, together with powerful 6x4 tractor units.
