Andrea Bucci extends responsibilities at Iveco UK
Iveco has announced the appointment of Andrea Bucci to the role of Network Strategy Director, in addition to his current responsibilities as Marketing Director.Bucci joined Iveco UK in July 2006 and has made a significant contribution in developing a market-focused strategy to meet the company’s five year plan of achieving a 15 per cent market share for Daily, 30 per cent for Eurocargo and 15 per cent for Stralis and Trakker.
Commenting on his appointment, Bucci says: “Network strategy is a key area of our business plan and as previously announced by Henk van Leuven, Managing Director, we are in the process of restructuring the dealer network to ensure it can best support our market aspirations.”
The new role will see Bucci take responsibility for continuing the restructuring programme which will see Iveco develop an even stronger heavy truck specialist network, with 18 full range dealer partners and 32 heavy truck support dealers.
“We are also growing the Daily network to include 125 sales, service and parts outlets across the UK, to provide the support needed to achieve both our fleet and retail sales potential in the light commercial vehicle market,” he adds.
Prior to joining Iveco UK Bucci, aged 36, spent three years as Marketing Manager at Iveco Truck Australia – a core market which manufactures the Stralis, PowerStar and Acco ranges at its plant in Dandenong, Victoria, and imports Daily and Eurocargo models from Europe.
Whilst in Australia he had responsibility for heading up the company’s marketing operations in Australia, New Zealand, the Far East and South Africa. Prior to spending three years in the Asia Pacific region, Bucci was Marketing Manager for the Daily product in the Italian home market.
