Final Lexden homes ready and waiting

With just two homes still available it truly is the last chance to buy at King’s Park in Lexden.

Officially launched at the start of the year, King’s Park is an intimate development of just 31 properties from Redrow’s sought-after Heritage Collection.

To the untrained eye the homes may seem to have been there for years, as their Arts & Crafts exteriors give them a timeless appeal and are in keeping with the neighbourhood.

The reality is that the final homes – a three-bedroom semi-detached Broadway style property and a four-bedroom detached Balmoral – are nearly build complete and will both be ready to move into before the end of the year.

Kerry Jenkins, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern), says: “King’s Park is an exclusive development in an established residential area with a real sense of community. Unlike those who buy in the early stages of a larger development, those who buy one of the remaining homes at King’s Park won’t have to wait for their home to be built. Our construction team will soon be moving out and our final residents can simply move in and enjoy the fruits of their labour.

“Those who step inside the properties will quickly appreciate the benefits of buying new and the ease of living it offers without having to imagine what it would be like when building work is finished. These homes have everything in place, including high quality fixtures and fittings and beautifully fitted kitchens and bathrooms.”

The three-bedroom Broadway is on the market at £339,995 and is available with Help to Buy.

The Government backed scheme enables homebuyers with a 5% deposit to defer paying up to 20% of the purchase price by taking out an equity loan. The loan is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.

The four-bedroom Balmoral is priced at £654,995.

Situated just a mile from the centre of Colchester, residents of the popular Redrow development will benefit from having a wealth of amenities close to home.

Based on rail season ticket sales Colchester ranked in a Savills’ guide to the top 20 commuter hotspots within a 60-minute journey from London, making King’s Park an ideal base for those who work in the capital.

To be in with a chance of purchasing one of the final homes at King’s Park, visit the development open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm. Alternatively, see redrow.co.uk/kingspark.
