New community thrives with luxury homes development a total sell-out

The final plot at a luxury development in Kedington, Suffolk, has been snapped up in the same week that the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement showed the housing market going from strength to strength.

Sales and enquiries have been strong at the Rose Brook development ever since it was launched last autumn, and an excellent run of sales by the Bloor team means that it is now completely sold out.

George Osborne’s Autumn Statement echoed this sentiment of success in the industry, with billions of pounds to be invested in housing over the next few years.

Monika Hanlon, Regional Sales Director for Bloor Eastern, said: “Our Rose Brook development has certainly sold out much quicker than originally planned which stands testament to the strength of the market at the moment.

“Government incentives such as Help to Buy have brought the dream of owning your own home within reach for so many, and so many homebuyers are taking advantage of the fantastic offers available.

“It seems fitting that Rose Brook has completely sold out just as the Chancellor announces that the planning system will be reformed to deliver more homes to meet the demand from homebuyers. At Bloor, we are determined to continue building quality new homes and hope future developments will be as successful as Rose Brook has been.”

As part of the Section 106 agreement between the developer and the local council, Bloor Homes agreed to make several financial contributions to the local area in Kedington as part of the new development of homes, totalling £327,236.

Contributions included £166,616 for an open space to be enjoyed by local residents alongside sports and recreation facilities, as well as an education contribution of £146,172 to be spent on local school improvements, and a further £10,368 was used to help improve the Kedington Library.

Located on the northern fringes of the village, Bloor Homes’ Rose Brook development comprises high-specification two to five-bedroom homes.

Rose Brook has proven so popular that Bloor are now building a brand new development just 18 miles away from Kedington, at the Frankland Mews development in Newport.

Frankland Mews offers three, four and five-bedroom homes from £409,995. For more information, visit bloorhomes.com.
