New homes will soon be springing up in Thundersley and with a database of more than 300 people interested in fewer than 60 properties demand is set to be high.

Subject to planning, the first homes at Redrow’s Oaklands Park development on Kiln Road will be released for sale via Countryside Estates in Benfleet in the spring.

Featuring everything from one and two-bedroom apartments to three, four and five-bedroom houses, the traditionally styled venture will boast 71 new properties in total.

Kerry Jenkins, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern), said: “The launch of Oaklands Park is eagerly anticipated and while the development is still subject to planning we’ve already received enquiries from more than 300 people who want to live here. With only 57 homes for private sale, hypothetically we could sell each one more than four times over. Amid such demand we would encourage prospective purchasers to register their interest now if they want to be kept updated as to when the homes will be released for sale.”

Along with the private sale homes there will also be provision for affordable housing, with seven affordable rented properties and seven shared ownership homes included at Oaklands Park.

Redrow will also be investing in the local community for the benefit of everyone in the neighbourhood.

A £78,000 contribution will be made to highways and transportation, £66,700 gifted towards education and £23,300 donated to healthcare.

The homes are from Redrow’s sought-after Heritage Collection, combining Arts & Crafts inspired architecture with high specification modern interiors.

Buyers will be reassured of the quality of the properties at Oaklands Park as construction will be overseen by award-winning site manager Mick Eyre.

Mick scooped a coveted Seal of Excellence in the NHBC’s ‘Pride in the Job’ Awards for his work at King’s Park near Colchester. The accolade puts him in the top 130 site managers in the country.

Kerry adds: “Mick’s award-winning form demonstrates the emphasis we place on quality craftsmanship and buyers can be confident their home is being built by a team committed to excellence.”

The properties at Oaklands Park will enjoy a rural Essex location in an area home to good schools, with a range of supermarkets and dining opportunities close by.

Potential purchasers can register their interest in the properties via the website: redrow.co.uk/developments/oaklands-park-thundersley.
