With plans to transform the site of a former petrol station in Hertfordshire motoring along and Redrow gearing up to release the first properties for sale, buyers are being urged to register their interest now.

Award-winning housebuilder Redrow is hoping to build on the success of its Priory Gate development in Hertford, where around two thirds of the development has sold ‘off plan’, with a forthcoming development in nearby Bishop’s Stortford.

Subject to planning, the new scheme, named Regent’s Court, will feature 48 apartments in a choice of one and two-bedroom designs.

Kerry Jenkins, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern), said: “The planned new Regent’s Court development will bring the site of the former Regent petrol station back into good use, providing new homes to help satisfy demand. We know from the popularity of Priory Gate that there’s a need for apartments in Hertfordshire and we’re already starting to build a database of prospective purchasers keen to buy at Regent’s Court.

“Across two buildings we’ll be offering 38 apartments for private sale, plus 10 affordable properties. One building will be over two floors, the other over three."

“Along with the new homes we’ll be investing more than £70,000 in the local community including almost £25,000 in primary education, plus contributions towards childcare and nursery provision. More than £33,000 will be paid towards sustainable transport, plus we’ll gift around £5,000 to the local library.”

Redrow aims to release the first properties for sale in spring/summer from Intercounty estate agents in Bishop’s Stortford. It’s anticipated that homes at Regent’s Court will be ready to move into in spring/summer 2017.

Branch manager Heather Curtis said: “Redrow is a brand with a long-standing reputation for building quality homes that people really want to live in. We’re looking forward to working with them to bring new apartments at Regent’s Court to the Bishop Stortford market. It’s an exciting project that’s set to bring a redundant site back into good use. We’d encourage potential purchasers to register their interest now if they want to be kept up to speed about when the properties are going to be released for sale.”
