Sales of new apartments in Bishop’s Stortford are motoring along with three homes snapped up at a launch event.

Redrow is creating a desirable new apartment development on South Street. Known as Regent’s Court, the development will offer 38 private sale properties across two buildings.

The first apartments have been released for sale ‘off plan’ via Intercounty Estate Agents in the town and have proved instantly popular.

Kerry McCoubrey, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern), said: “The launch event was well attended and we’ve had lots of positive feedback. Many visitors keen to see the land brought back into good use commented on how the site model has helped them visualise what the development will look like. The fact that three eager buyers snapped up apartments at the earliest opportunity proves that there’s a demand in the area.

“We’ve received enquiries from owner-occupiers and buy-to-let investors alike. We’d anticipate that investors will typically be able to expect rental yields of up to 4.6% for a two-bedroom apartment.

“While the homes won’t be ready to move into for another 12 moths, we’d encourage potential purchasers to get in touch soon to have their pick of the properties.”

Current availability at Priory Gate includes two-bedroom apartments with prices from £319,995 to £359,995.

Open plan layouts with combined kitchen, living and dining rooms will maximise the potential of the space available. Kitchens will be well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances; while bathrooms will feature sleek modern fixtures and fittings. In the two bedroom designs, the master bedroom will benefit from an en-suite.

“The beauty of buying off plan is that there are plenty of opportunities to customise your new home and thanks to the My Redrow feature of the website, this can be done at the touch of a button,” Kerry added. “Buyers can choose the finish of everything from the kitchen cupboards to the bathroom tiles.”

Apartments at Regent’s Court benefit from allocated parking and selected properties include Juliet balconies.

The location is sure to have broad appeal.

“Residents of Regent’s Court will be able to enjoy having a wealth of amenities close to home with a supermarket, cinema and train station within walking distance,” Kerry explained.

“The town is home to well-known high street stores and independent shops and an excellent choice of restaurants. Plus if business or pleasure necessitate a trip to the capital, London Liverpool Street is only 45 minutes’ away by train.”
