People are at their happiest when they live among or around large, green spaces, but those living closer to the coast are reporting better health and overall wellbeing which, in turn, also makes them happy. Bellway Homes recognise the popularity of coastal living among home buyers in the UK and has provided the perfect solution. Launching on Saturday 26th March, the property developer is proudly launching its new Southend-on-Sea based development, Ekco Park, in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

This contemporary new development will consist of a collection of one, two, three and four bedroom properties in a variety of styles. With one and two bedroom apartments and ten different house types, Ekco Park has been designed to suit the needs of a range of buyers, including first-time buyers, families, professionals and investors.

Gemma Bannister, Divisional Sales Manager at Bellway Essex comments: “We hear so much about the health benefits of living near the coast, it provides space for fun outdoor activity and exercise and of course, the scenic views in around Southend-on-Sea will provide a lovely relaxing environment to live in. Ekco Park is just 10 minutes away from the seven miles of beaches and the town centre is only a few minutes’ walk from the development”.

The Osbourne is one of the new house types that will be available at Ekco Park and is a three bedroom family home. The ground floor has a spacious living room, while the open plan kitchen/dining area is big enough for families to come together in the evening or to entertain guests in. Upstairs, the large master bedroom features an en suite shower room, a large second bedroom, while the third bedroom would make a perfect nursery or could be used as a study.

Southend-on-Sea has two large shopping malls, the Victoria Shopping Centre and The Royals Shopping Centre, which offer a wide mix of stores, as well as independent boutiques with the latest fashion trends. The town centre also has a great selection of restaurants specialising in a variety of international cuisines, and wine bars and pubs. A weekly market and a twice monthly farmer’s market also take place on the High Street. For everyday essentials an Aldi supermarket is within walking distance of the development.

Ideal for families, there is a wide selection of state and independent schools for children of all ages within close proximity of the development. Earls Hall Infant and Junior are less than one mile from Ekco Park. The town is home to an excellent selection of grammar schools, including Southend High School for Boys and Southend High School for Girls. South Essex College of Further and Higher Education is also based in Southend-on-Sea, which offers education to students over the age of 16.

Prittlewell Station is a ten minute walk away from the development, which provides frequent services to Southend Victoria in just four minutes, running up to four times an hour. Direct trains leave up to six times an hour from Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street, taking less than an hour. The M25 can be reached in around 35 minutes via the A127, while Southend Airport is five minutes away by car or train for international travel.

Guide prices start from £254,995 for a two bedroom home and from £329,995 for a three bedroom home. For more information, visit bellway.co.uk.
