Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa has teamed up with David Millar to host a series of ultimate cycling weekends this year, offering cycling aficionados a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend three day's riding in Mallorca with one of Britain's most successful professional cyclists, David Millar – former captain of the British team in the World Championships and Olympics and the only British cyclist to have won all Tour de France jerseys.

Ahead of the trip, Millar has created a bespoke training block, escalating over the three days. Upon arrival, riders will be given their own personalised jersey and kit from Chpt./// – Millar's new high-end clothing collection created in collaboration with Italian brand Castelli – and will also be able to access the Jumeirah Strava private account, allowing them to keep a record of their performance.

Riders will be offered the unique chance to be treated like pros with pre-ride morning briefings and route guides, Maserati support cars and on-site mechanics to provide expert support and technical assistance throughout the trip.

On Day One, riders will cover 75km following the coast to the south, turning inland at Valldemoosa, with a stop at Esporles, before heading back to Port Soller on a final short and steep climb up to the hotel. Day Two and the route intensifies with 80km heading inland to Bunyola where the route loops round through some of Mallorca's most stunning scenery - with a pit-stop to refuel at the village of Alaro - before heading back to the hotel. On Day Three, the training block reaches its climax with a 125km route and barely a metre of flat. Like the first day, the route will head down the coast via Valledemossa heading towards Andratx. From here the group will head back north up the coast, stopping at Banyalbufar before returning to the hotel for some much needed rest and recuperation.

Post-ride, guests can take advantage of the stunning spa facilities at Jumeirah Port Soller before setting down to dinner with David Millar and a chance to reflect on a memorable day's cycling. In addition, those attending from 7-10 April will have the opportunity to watch the Paris-Roubaix with Millar, gaining insights to the race from his personal commentary.

Long-been regarded as a road cyclist's paradise, Mallorca attracts pro-teams and enthusiasts with its year-round warm, sunny climate, long mid-gradient climbs, well-maintained roads relatively free of traffic and nutritious local cuisine. Located on the rugged northwest coast of the island and surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains, Jumeirah Port Soller is perfectly-positioned for cyclists to experience renowned climbs such as the Puig Major, Sa Calobra and Coll de Soller; while also providing a luxurious retreat with two alfresco restaurants serving freshly-prepared Mediterranean delicacies, a sumptuous Talise Spa offering post-ride revitalising massages, two swimming pools, and the Barbaroja's Kids Club for cyclists travelling with families.

The 'David Millar Ultimate Cycling Weekends' are priced at £3,500 per person with the first one set to take place between 7 - 11 April. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. For bookings, email jpsreservations[at]@jumeirah.com
