Visit Shakespeare’s England this summer with a range of special offers!

With Warwickshire recently crowned the only UK destination to appear in the Lonely Planet Best in Europe 2016 list this summer, there’s never been a better reason for visiting. Stratford-upon-Avon is currently in the midst of a string of festivities marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s legacy with the opening of Shakespeare’s School-room for the first time and the re-imagining of New Place, his final home which opens on 1 July. Warwick Castle, which this year restored and re-launched its 22-tonne trebuchet – the world’s largest siege machine – provides a chance to relive medieval warfare and on 16 June the Aviva Women’s Tour Cycling Race passes through the county for the first time.

For a mediaeval experience combine your trip to Warwick Castle with an overnight stay in the new Knight’s Village set in the wooded 64-acre estate from just £40 per person plus get a second day at the Castle for free! Choose a starlit sleepover in a Mediaeval Glamping Tent or retreat to a brand new Knight’s Village Lodge – plus enjoy evening entertainment and breakfast in the new banquet hall. Opening on 1 July, the new Knight’s Village lodges have modern facilities, such as a wet room and TV, alongside Mediaeval-style features.

Enjoy cocktail master classes and a brand new series of Shakespeare inspired cocktails at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Mix the perfect drink and learn about the history behind cocktail-making at the theatre’s Rooftop Restaurant bar. The master classes follow on from the RSC’s creation of Shakespeare inspired cocktails which help to celebrate his work on the stages. The 45 minute sessions can be booked Monday to Friday.

Visit Alscot Park followed by lunch at The Bell in Alderminster on 7 June. Browse the gardens and take in the views of the rococo gothic style house, part of the West family since 1747. Talk to the team about the house and gardens then enjoy a 2 course lunch. Booking is essential. Gardens open 11am - 1pm. Lunch served 12 - 2.30pm. Tickets £28.50pp.
