Everything was there so we could just move in, so it's ideal for first time buyers like us.”

Former teacher Julie Fogg, 50, who’s bought a three-bedroom style with her husband Roger, had other priorities: “We loved the layout of this house, the open plan, the fact that it was so modern and the walk-in shower rooms upstairs. It just seemed so much more practical.”

Due to its popularity, Abode at Horsforth Vale is now down to the last seven available properties.

The West Yorkshire development lies about six miles from Leeds city centre and good transport links make the location ideal for commuters. There’s a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants in Horsforth itself – an area that was named as one of the best places to live in the UK by the Sunday Times earlier this year.
