They say there’s a lot in a name and that’s certainly the case with Redrow’s new Weavers’ Chase development in Morley.

For the builder is preparing itself for a host of house-hungry buyers making a dash to the development in a bid to beat other purchasers to their favourite property.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), says: “There has already been a lot of interest in homes at Weavers’ Chase from those on our database, and lots of positive feedback, so we are expecting a rush now the houses are finally on sale.

“In fact we already have a couple of ‘early bird’ registrations for properties not yet released for sale and someone signed up to Mastermove to sell their current property so they can move to Weavers’ Chase.

“Thankfully, there are 62 homes in total so we can hopefully cope with the demand.”

The West Yorkshire development is on six acres of land off Albert Road, perfectly placed close to Morley town centre and six miles south west of Leeds. It will be home to a mix of semi-detached and detached, three and four-bedroom properties in a range of styles - all of which will have a private garden and parking – to suit first-time buyers, families and downsizers.

The fully furnished Cambridge show home will make its debut in the New Year but, until then, there are plenty of homes from which to choose ‘off-plan’, with current releases including the three-bedroom Warwick detached house style, together with the equally stunning four-bedroom Cambridge, Stratford and Oxford properties. Pre-show home prices range from £255,950 to £329,950.

All homes are from Redrow’s Heritage Collection, inspired by the Arts & Crafts period of the late 19th/ early 20th century, with the emphasis on individuality and traditional craftsmanship. Delightful exteriors and period style features are beautifully complemented by spacious, modern and practical interiors.

Buying off-plan in the early stages of a development means buyers have more choice of individual properties available, as well as their position. And, there is the added benefit of being able to personalise a home, from the choice of kitchen styles, through to the choice of tiles, work-surfaces and a host of finishes and extras. All of this can be done online via the homebuilders industry-leading ‘My Redrow’ service.

Weavers’ Chase will introduce new public green space and tree planting, plus other community benefits.

“New homeowners will benefit from a Metro Card, which provides 12 months’ free use of public transport, thanks to a contribution of £37,000 by Redrow,” Patsy adds.

“We’ll also be helping to improve local infrastructure like roads, schools and healthcare, by adding nearly £300,000 to council coffers.”
