Christmas spending in the United States

We all love a bit of Christmas– let’s admit that straight off the bat. Sometimes, we get so caught up in all the festive cheer that we forget about the silly prices that can build up over the merry period.

Recently, Avant Credit looked into spending over Christmas in the US in 2015, and came back with some interesting findings, including:

- Half of the gifts bought are clothing and accessories - only 22.8% of the gifts being electronic items

- Over 50% of millennials would prefer experiences rather than physical gifts nowadays

- Gift cards from restaurants are far head in popularity as presents, followed by department stores and coffee gift cards.
