What’s on in Piemonte during 2017

Torino and the vineyard landscapes of Piemonte: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato UNESCO World Heritage Sites have plenty of events taking place throughout 2017, covering food and wine to historical anniversaries.

With 2017 just around the corner, Regione Piemonte has lots to offer tourists in the coming year. Come and view exhibitions and shows on spectacular stages, or simply indulge in the regions excellent quality food and wine.

Below are just some of the exciting events taking place in the new year:

Currently, Palazzo Chiablese in Torino, is hosting a large exhibition dedicated to Toulouse-Lautrec until the 5th March 2017. On the 26thFebruary, the 210th Historic Carnival of Ivrea will take place. The carnival, which lasts two days, was established in 1808 and is one of the oldest festivals in the world. An historical re-enactment repeated every year, it brings tradition and spectacle to the streets of the city of Ivrea. July welcomes Collisioni 2017, the agri-rock festival of literature and music. The festival is based in the town of Barolo, the ‘Mecca of Italian wine’, in the beautiful scenery of Langhe in Piemonte. The festival is a natural stage for music, conversations with Nobel prize-winners, stars of Italian and international music, writers and philosophers. collisioni.it

In September, the 11th edition of MiTo Settembre Musica takes place in Torino, which sees hundreds of concerts at different venues with artists from all over the world. October is a busy month for the town of Bra which hosts an International Cheese event dedicated to milk in all its shapes and forms. Also throughout October, Alba will be hosting their 87th International White Truffle Fair on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from the first half of October until mid-November.
