Fiat Professional confirms it will join scrappage scheme

5th May 2009 Print
Fiat Fiorino Fiat Professional, the commercial vehicle arm of Fiat Group Automobiles SpA, has confirmed it will fully participate in the Government’s scrappage scheme, announced recently in the Budget.

With £1000 put forward by the Treasury for motorists who scrap their old vehicles in exchange for new ones, matched or bettered by the manufacturer, it means there has never been a better time to buy a new Fiat van.

Under the scheme, customers scrapping their old vehicle will be able to buy a new Fiat Fiorino – International Van of the Year 2009 – for just £5795. The deal will assist van owners choosing to get rid of their old ‘banger’ to replace it with a cleaner, safer and more economical new vehicle.

Among the offers available within the scrappage scheme announcement are:

Fiorino Cargo 1.4 8v Petrol 75 for £5795: Normal basic price £8565. Scrappage scheme removes £869.57 and Fiat Professional’s deal saves a further £1900.43;

Grande Punto Van 1.3 Active 75 MultiJet for £6216: Normal basic price £9085. Scrappage scheme removes £869.57 and Fiat Professional’s deal saves a further £1999.43;

Doblo 1.4 MPI 8v Petrol for £6195: Normal basic price £9840. Scrappage scheme removes £869.57 and Fiat Professional’s deal saves a further £2775.43;

Scudo 1.6 MultiJet 90bhp Comfort for £9995: Normal basic price £14,570. Scrappage scheme removes £869.57 and Fiat Professional’s deal saves a further £3705.43.

All prices exclude VAT and on the road changes.

“We welcome the opportunity to more than match the Chancellor’s offer in the scrappage scheme, which will help the UK’s van industry in terms of business costs and the environment,” says Gerry Clarke, director, Fiat Professional. “I am sure this incentive will help encourage our customers to change to a new Fiat van.”
