According to the latest City Rate of Sale report from Post Office Money, the average UK property takes 96 days to sell. For instance, Southend in Essex has seen a rise of 12%, one of the sharpest increases in selling times in the UK. To help speed up the process and take away the stress of buying a new home, Bellway Homes’ Express Mover scheme is currently available on many of their developments in Essex. At Ekco Park in Southend, Bellway is offering Express Mover and Help to Buy for some housetypes. With a variety of home styles on offer, these will appeal to a wide audience, including commuters, families and first-time buyers.

Set in a traditional seaside town, the development comprises two, three and four-bedroom homes. With prices starting at just £279,995, a selection of these houses come in under the new Stamp Duty threshold for first-time buyers, so homes at Ekco Park are particularly attractive to these property purchasers, as well as those with a home to sell.

Annette Hurst, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Essex comments: “We appreciate the stress that comes with buying and selling a house, and how time-consuming the process can be. With our Express Mover Scheme, we work with a team of recommended local agents to ensure a buyer is found as quickly as possible, so busy home buyers can focus on finding their ideal property. Southend offers the calming ambience of the coast, with an effortless commute into London for those who enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life. We urge potential buyers to visit the development for themselves to see all that Southend-On-Sea has to offer and take advantage of our special deals.”

A great example of a property available at Ekco Park is The Grange house type. The four-bedroom home includes an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, and a separate living room. The kitchen is complemented with integrated appliances, including a fridge freezer, stainless steel double oven, hob and cooker hood. French doors in the dining area open on to the rear garden. A cloakroom and storage cupboard are located in the hallway. On the first floor, the second and third bedroom share a Jack and Jill shower room, while bedroom four is served by the modern family bathroom. On the second level, the master bedroom benefits from a fitted wardrobe, an en suite with shower enclosure and a storage cupboard.

The sunny Essex coast allows residents to enjoy peaceful walks on Westcliff beach, or explore the longest pleasure pier in the world. The pier features over 60 rides and attractions to seduce the thrill seekers and provide a fun day out. Ideal for families, further attractions include an Adventure Island Family Fun Park, a Sea Life Adventure Aquarium and the Kursaal bowling alley and amusement arcade. Priory Park also has beautiful formal gardens, recreation areas and children’s playgrounds just a six-minute walk from the development.

For the luxury of shopping, Southend High Street offers a range of popular retailers and independent boutiques, alongside a weekly market and twice monthly farmer’s market. Although famous for its fish and chips, ice cream and seafood, Southend also caters for a variety of international cuisines, and has a number of wine bars and pubs to offer.

Residents will benefit from excellent transport connections, with the closest railway station, Prittlewell Station, just a ten-minute walk away from Ekco Park. Direct trains to London leave regularly with a journey time of less than an hour. Major roads easily accessible from the development include the A13 and the A127, and the M25 can be reached in approximately 35 minutes.

Prices at Ekco Park start from £279,995 for two-bedroom houses, £349,995 for three-bedroom houses and £409,995 for four-bedroom houses. For further details please visit bellway.co.uk.
