Homebuyers who are looking for the best of both worlds – a place in the country with all the conveniences of a town – will find that Berkeley Homes’ Woodhurst Park development on the northern fringe of Bracknell, close to the village of Warfield in Berkshire, is perfectly located. Woodhurst Park, a development of 750 new homes, is set in 65 acres of picturesque open space, with an expansive country park and landscaped walkway running through its heart.

The development has been designed to create a natural community feel with ample space for families to enjoy, promoting healthy outdoor living and making it easy to travel around leaving the car at home.

Andrew Saunders-Davis, Chairman of Berkeley Homes (Oxford & Chiltern), explains: “The landscaped greenway that runs through Woodhurst Park not only provides a safe, car-free walking route to the new primary school, it also offers outdoor spaces that the whole family can enjoy. The traditional village green is intended to become a hub for relaxing picnics and community celebrations, families will love feeding the ducks at the village pond and children of all ages can enjoy the well-equipped play areas that will be installed. Cyclists, joggers and dog walkers have the benefit of the path that leads straight into the country park, making it easy and safe to get some fresh air whatever the season.”

It’s not just the green spaces that make Woodhurst Park special; the homes themselves are luxuriously finished, generously proportioned and have great attention to detail truly emulating The Berkeley Difference. There are currently two releases currently available on the development – Rosewood, featuring one, two and three-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom coach houses and two, three and four-bedroom houses close to the village pond, and Willow Grove, comprising one and two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom coach houses and three, four and five-bedroom homes next to the picturesque stream and nature trail.

All of the homes come with individually designed fitted kitchens complete with integrated Bosch appliances, glass splashbacks and ceramic floor tiles. The bathrooms are fitted with contemporary Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware and Hansgrohe mixers and shower heads. All the homes have economical gas-fired boilers, underfloor heating to all ground floors and apartments benefiting from underfloor heating throughout. Parking is available for all homes, either in separate or integral garages, or as an allocated parking space for apartments.

Woodhurst Park has excellent transport connections; Bracknell Railway Station is less than two miles away and offers a regular service to London, reaching Waterloo in around an hour and Reading in just 30 minutes. The M3 and M4 are close enough that Heathrow and Gatwick airports can be accessed by car in around 30 and 50 minutes respectively. As well as an easy commute to work, Woodhurst Park offers a great selection of schools in the nearby area, with Warfield Church of England primary school located on the development as well as with additional primary schools and four secondary schools (including the legendary Eton College) within easy reach.

As well as all the leisure opportunities offered by the green areas in and around the development, the locality has a wealth of leisure activities such as the Lookout Discovery Centre with its miles of walking and cycling path, Go Ape high ropes course and the John Nike Ski Centre which offers skating and skiing. The nearby Royal Berkshire Health and Racquets Club has tennis and squash courts, as well as spa, gym and swimming pool facilities, a Virgin Active Health Club & Spa is also just a few miles up the road.

The newly regenerated town centre at Bracknell is less than two miles away, with the Lexicon shopping centre offering more than 100 fashion and beauty brands, a choice of homeware and technology stores and a 12-screen cinema. Buyers at Woodhurst Park can find popular restaurants and cafés there, such as Wagamama, Nando's and Zizzi, or for something a bit more upmarket, Michelin-starred restaurant The Royal Oak is a mile and a half away. For those who prefer to cook at home, Waitrose is five minutes away by car.

“The new homes at Woodhurst Park offer a fantastic opportunity to change your lifestyle as well as your home,” continues Andrew Saunders-Davies. “You can live among beautiful open spaces, go for a run or walk the dog in the park, wind down in the evening by taking a stroll alongside the River Cut, yet still be within easy reach of all that London, Reading and Bracknell have to offer. It really does offer the best of both worlds.”

“At Woodhurst Park we have already created a strong sense of community with a number of successful events on the green helping existing residents meet new residents to build a true sense of belonging. To continue supporting this we have a community plan in place to ensure the growth of this natural and vibrant destination as an enjoyable and healthy place to live”.
