It doesn’t matter who you are, how old you are or how much money you’ve got, bingo has the ability to capture your imagination. Most of us reading this article are sure to have played bingo at least a handful of times, enjoying the social aspect as much as the thrill of winning. While bingo is commonly associated with everyday people, there are many celebrities who can’t get enough of it too, and we have taken the liberty of putting together a list of famous faces who do.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Probably a name most wouldn’t expect to see on this list, but the world’s best footballer was introduced to bingo by Sir Alex Ferguson when he joined Manchester United. With Ronaldo struggling with his English, Ferguson gave Ronaldo a DVD bingo game for Christmas, which went on to help him learn English words and phrases. This also saw Ronaldo develop a passion for the game, regularly mentioning it in interviews.

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams has turned his love for bingo into a way to raise money for charity. Williams, one of the biggest music artists on the planet, is renowned for taking part and setting up huge bingo events in both the UK and the US. He’s said to have been an avid fan since his early days in Take That, while his music video for ‘Feel’ features him emerging from a bingo hall.

Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne is a woman who seems to be able to turn her hand to anything, from managing music artists to being a judge on the X Factor. Unbeknown to many, Osbourne is also an avid bingo player and is believed to play the game online to destress, which is understandable with her hectic lifestyle. There is no doubt, this talented lady will be a member of many reputable sites, with mFortune bingo being one of the most popular online and mobile brands. While having a real passion for the game, Osbourne is also said to be extremely knowledgeable about it too.

Prince William

Prince William is said to have got into bingo while doing his training at the Sandhurst Military Academy. With a bingo hall close by, it’s believed the then young Royal would take himself off in his spare time to enjoy some bingo action. It was also reported by a national newspaper that Prince William gave the name ‘William Harry’ when signing up, buying £5’s worth of tickets.

Kate Moss

Kate Moss is one of the world’s most famous models and this saw her live the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle for many years. However, following her divorce from rocker Jamie Hince, Moss decided to ditch the partying and opted to play bingo instead. Moss is believed to have regularly hooked up with close pal Sadie Frost on a Saturday night to play bingo, as the pair looked to live a quieter life.

It just goes to show how absorbing bingo is, with people from all walks of life enjoying the game for a whole manner of different reasons, and who can blame them? Bingo is an exciting past time and it’s great for socialising too.
