Strong ride at Whitby for Dougan

Following a 12th place in timed practice, Jason went into race one in optimistic form, making up for an average start by charging through the field early-on. Moving up to fifth place by the end of lap-one, Jason went into a race-long battle with Carl Nunn, eventually taking his Fork Rent RM-Z250 to a well-earned fourth place.
A similar start in race two, left Jason with work to do. Sitting in 14th place at the end of the first lap, Dougan rode strongly once more, moving through the field to eighth position, where he stayed to the chequered flag.
Team manager Mark Chamberlain commented, “Another positive performance from Jason. He was a little disappointed to miss out on the podium position in race one, but rode strongly and earned useful championship points once again. Jakes 11th and 9th place finishes do not represent the effort and progress he has made this year, qualifying in his best British Championship position ever in seventh. Overall, it’s been a solid weekend of racing for us”.
