Relentless Youth team end the weekend on a high
Matt Ridgeway and Tim Trueman were part of the busy Relentless Youth team this weekend taking part in the DEP 2 Stroke British Championship held at Blaxhall pits and a BSMA round held at Wakes Colne.Competing on his RM125 in the Expert class at the DEP event, Matt started off the day with a top 5 qualifying position leading him nicely into the first race. Gating well, Matt was on the leader from start to finish leaving him with a second spot. Race two saw the same format until a fall during the moto left him pulling himself back to sixth position. A seventh place in the third race left Matt with a 6th overall, and also moves him up through the championship to third overall with one race left in the championship.
Tim Trueman had a great weekend with the RM-Z250 in the AMX class of the BSMA round. With the meeting taking place at the very well prepared Wakes Colne circuit, Tim took the holeshot in race one, coming home in a solid second place, before following it up with a sixth place. Improved pace on Sunday saw Tim take two race wins, leaving him with a second overall on the day, and a 10 point lead over second place.
Paul Butler commented, “I am very pleased with both riders progress over the weekend. Solid rides have put them in a strong position going into the next events. I would also like to say get well soon to Luke Dean who didn’t make the BSMA meeting after losing part of a finger.”
