Dougan ends 2007 in fine style

The RM-Z250 rider showed blistering pace from the off, completing timed practice as the fastest rider ahead of Searle and eventual championship winner Mike Brown, before going on to score the overall win, thanks to first and second place finishes in the two races of the day.
“I’m over the moon with my performance today”, commented Dougan. “The bike performed faultlessly and I felt comfortable right from the off. It’s great to end a season this way, and I’m looking forward to making this a regular occurrence with the Moto Vision team again next season”.
Joining Dougan in top-ten celebrations was Team Suzuki Swift rider Sean Hamblin who secured fourth overall on the day thanks to a pair of fourth place finishes from 15th position in timed practice.
Completing the top-ten was Relentless Suzuki’s Lewis Gregory, who rode strongly to finish the championship in 10th, completing Suzuki’s hatrick of riders to finish the championship in the top-ten.
Speaking about Suzuki’s 2007 MX2 effort was Suzuki GB sales and marketing director Nick Palmer, who commented, “2007 was a big year for us, backing no-less than three large and professional teams. The RM-Z250 has proven its pedigree on several occasions, and gives us something special to build on for 2008”.
In the Ladies British Motorcross Championship at Pontrilas it would be another Fork Rent Suzuki rider that would stand on the top step, after RM-Z250 mounted Natalie Kane took victory in all three races.
