Edmondson to ride for Team GB in Chile
Suzuki backed enduro rider Paul Edmondson, arrives in Chile this week ready to fly the flag for Team Great Britain in the 2007 International Six Day Enduro.Known as one of the toughest events on the world enduro calendar, Paul is one of the most experienced riders to start the event, scooping no less than 14 gold medals in his lengthy ISDE career.
Riding the Suzuki RM250 that took him to numerous wins this season, Paul will be one of a six-man team competing for their country.
Speaking before flying out to Chile, Edmondson said, “I’ve really enjoyed my season riding at home in the various championships, but in truth I have missed competing in the WEC a little, so I was determined to represent my country in this years ISDE”.
Joining Paul in the World Trophy Team are Tom Sagar, Edward Jones, Dylan Jones, Chris Hockey and Euan McConnell who will all be riding under the Optoma Loans Team GB banner.
Aside from talking about his ISDE ride, Paul was also pleased to confirm the continuation of his association with Suzuki in the 2008 season, commenting, “I’ve had a great season on the Suzuki this year, so I’m really pleased to know this will continue next season. The ‘08 team details are still to be finalised, but I hope to have news when we return from Chile and make an announcement at the Dirt Bike Show".
The ISDE starts on Monday 12th November.
