Edmondson claims Welsh win

Relentless Suzuki Enduro Team rider Paul ‘Fast Eddy’ Edmondson claimed victory over the weekend in the opening round of the WOR Events organised XC Championship.

Running at Llandrillo, North Wales, the event took in some spectacular scenery as the tough course wound its way through forests and along trail sections throughout the three hour race.

Fast Eddy, aboard a new Relentless Suzuki RM250, grabbed the hole-shot and looked set to disappear into the distance but an uncharacteristic slip saw him on the ground entering a field section. Edmondson quickly remounted and took the lead before the completion of the first lap, never to look back.

The Edmondson/Suzuki combination once more cruised to victory, some 30-seconds clear of nearest rival Wayne Braybrook.

Edmondson: ‘I really enjoyed the event. The course was superb, even though it did catch me out once, after regaining the lead I relaxed and virtually trail-rode to the finish. The RM250 was sweet as a nut and faultless throughout the event. When you have a bike as reliable as this, every event is enjoyable.’
