Return to podium form for Relentless Suzuki MX

7th April 2009 Print
Suzuki It was a return to familiar form for the Relentless Suzuki MX team at the weekend, as the team scooped no-less than four podiums at the second round of the MMX Open Championship, held at Mildenhall in Suffolk.

In race one, it would be Martin Barr who would give the team their best result, riding one of only a few 250cc bikes in the race, Barr took his RM-Z250 to an impressive second place, closely followed by teammate Scott Columb, completing the podium in third. Jamie Law would ride to 5th place, with Scott Probert returning from injury to finish in 17th.

With almost a complete repeat of form, the second race would see another inspired ride from Barr and Columb, finishing in identical positions to the first race, but this time, with the entire team finishing inside the top ten, with Law notably taking a solid 6th overall from the day.

In the under 21 race, team rider Matt Burrows scored his first ever championship point with 20th place in his second race of the day.

Relentless Suzuki team manager, Rob Hooper, commented, "I'm extremely pleased with how the weekend went. At last we have all riders out in action and achieving great results too. Martin was on fabulous form and worked the 250 hard to a pair of great results. Whereas the rest of the team pulled together to give us our best weekend of the season so far. Here's to many more of these this year."
