Nunn takes overall win at Red Bull series opener

Despite leaving the round with the overall win, it wasn't all plain sailing for Nunn, after arm-pump in race one saw him drop from a comfortable lead to third place by the flag. Determined to finish the opening round strongly, Nunn got his head down in the second race to come home in another podium position, behind teammate and eventual race winner James Noble.
Noble's second race win was welcome compensation for his first race, where a mishap in preparation forced him to retire with a loose exhaust header pipe.
In MX2, Mattis Karro would end the day with an impressive second position overall, after hard, but strong rides saw the young RM-Z250 rider score high up the order in the combined races.
WIth a special 'Van Slam' shootout, where each rider was required to put in one hot lap to win the use of a van for the season, it would be the MVR-D Suzuki team that would dominate the times, with Noble, Nunn and Karro filling the top three slots.
Team manager, Mark Chamberlain, "Another great performance from the guys. It's extremely encouraging the leave the opening round of a series with the lead, and nice to score a race win with James too. All riders rode mature races today, and my only regret is the preparation hiccup for James in his first race. Well done to all the boys yet again."
