MPH featuring Top Gear Live - Manchester’s mad for it

Based on ticket sales per capita, people from Manchester are currently first in line to visit MPH the Prestige &Performance Motor Show and prove their appreciation for the Top Gear presenters along with the most exotic and aspirational supercars in the world.
Last year the city topped the charts when more than 12,500 Manchester car fans visited the show (14.2% of total attendance) and this year the city’s love affair with performance cars remains flat out, once again putting them in pole position to watch Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May mastermind a series of hilarious stunts and breathtaking precision driving.
Not to be outdone, Londoners are already hot on the heels of their northern counterparts and are set to secure second place along with front row seats for the 10 Top Gear Live performances at Earls Court and a chance to get close to the fastest cars on the planet.
Thanks to its appetite for automotive exotica, third place goes to the city of Birmingham, home to the second leg in the Top Gear Live world tour at the NEC.
According to MPH Show director, Charlotte Aldiss, the trend in 2009 ticket sales is closely tracking the year before. She said: “Already it’s clear that Manchester remains mad for Top Gear Live and fast cars. The shows attract people from all over the country, but car fans from Manchester, it seems, are the most passionate.”
Fourth, fifth and sixth placed cities are currently to Bristol, Sheffield and Leeds with Glasgow, Hull, Edinburgh and Liverpool completing the list of top 10 car fanatical cities in the UK.
Although there has been a mad rush for MPH featuring Top Gear Live tickets, there are still performance times available at London’s Earls Court (5–8 November) and Birmingham’s NEC (12-15 November), but the race is on.
Silver and Gold tickets are priced at £42 and £65 each while top class Platinum tickets cost £99. Tickets can be purchased online at mphshow.co.uk.
