Kids go free
With effect from 1 June 2007, Nationwide Building Society will again be offering ‘Kids Go Free’ on single trip travel insurance policies and, in addition, offering two new incentives for people travelling within the UK or abroad this summer:a 10% online discount on single trip and annual multi-trip policies
children can travel independently on supervised trips
Kids Go Free
Parents purchasing Nationwide’s single trip travel insurance will be able to include up to four of their children on the policy at no extra cost. This offer is available on all single trip policies for families and single parents taken out this summer. *
10% online discount
Anyone purchasing Nationwide’s travel insurance over the Internet at nationwide.co.uk/ will receive a 10% online discount.
Kids travel independently
Children named on annual travel insurance policies will be insured when travelling independently on a supervised trip.** This new feature will be a permanent change to Nationwide’s family and single parent annual multi-trip travel insurance policies.
Robin Bailey, Nationwide’s insurance director, said: “Anyone planning to go away on holiday this summer – whether to the UK or abroad – should remember to take out adequate travel insurance before they go. And, just like the holiday itself, it’s worth taking time to shop around to make sure you are taking out the right policy for your travelling needs.
“By offering ‘Kids Go Free’ and independent travel cover for children we aim to give parents peace of mind that their children are covered when travelling with them or under supervision. What’s more, holidaymakers choosing a Nationwide policy can save an extra 10% on their travel insurance premium when buying online – leaving a bit more to spend while away!”
* The ‘Kids Go Free’ offer will be available on Nationwide’s single trip travel insurance until 31 August 2007. People travelling after 31 August 2007 will qualify for the offer providing they have arranged cover during the offer period.
** All insured children can travel independently on trips organised by schools or other recognised organisations when supervised by adults. Insured children aged 15 and under may also travel independently when accompanied by a responsible adult.
