Top ratings awarded to NFU Mutual ’s personal insurance range

Top independent research company Defaqto has awarded 5 Star Ratings to large rural insurer NFU Mutual for its home, motor and annual travel insurance policies.

NFU Mutual has continued to hold 5 Star Ratings for its motor and home contents policies since 2005.

Then in 2008 its home buildings was added to the list. Its travel policy has now completed the set by gaining the 5 Star Status.

NFU Mutual Chief Executive, Lindsay Sinclair said, "These ratings illustrate that NFU Mutual is a company built on the principles of offering excellent products and first class service to its policyholders. So for our annual travel insurance to now be rated 5 Star alongside our motor and home policies by an independent research company is excellent news."

Defaqto ratings are based on a detailed analysis of a product's features and benefits. Defaqto analyses these features and awards a score for each. The scores are then brought together to produce a balanced view of a product's overall quality compared with its competitors. NFU Mutual scored highly in each category to be awarded a top rating for each. The 5 Star Rating is only awarded to those insurance policies that offer outstanding levels of cover.
