ibuyeco enhances green offering

23rd June 2009 Print
Eco car insurance provider ibuyeco, has enhanced its offering to allow policyholders to support a broader range of environmental projects when purchasing their car insurance.

When a car owner buys a new policy or renews their car insurance with ibuyeco, the company will now make a £5 donation to either the Woodland Trust, Borneo Orangutan Survival or The Converging World. Policyholders will be able to choose which charity receives the £5 donation. And, as the charity donation is completely funded by ibuyeco, consumers can make a contribution to a green charity without seeing a rise in their premium.

ibuyeco has enhanced its offering in direct response to customer feedback. Lucy Bailey, Senior Marketing Manager for ibuyeco, said: "Our customers told us they would like the opportunity to support a wider range of environmental concerns, including projects being carried out in the UK. The green agenda is now part of the mainstream and consumers are demanding products that are not only high quality and good value, but also environmentally responsible. The three chosen charities, which all support eco causes, were selected by current ibuyeco customers in an email poll."

As a business that wishes to support consumers' desire to tackle climate change, ibuyeco will also continue to offer policyholders the opportunity to offset their carbon emissions from their driving.

The insurance will be sold directly at ibuyeco.co.uk and also through aggregator sites.
