A new comparethemarket.com advert – Simples

Following the cult success of its recent television campaign featuring meerkat, Aleksandr Orlov, comparethemarket.com has launched another new TV advert.

The new advert, ‘Puppets' follows the same style as the previous commercial and features Aleksandr in his Russian mansion explaining the difference between comparethemeerkat.com and comparethemarket.com using a traditional marionette puppet show.

Aleksandr has become a cult icon since the campaign was launched by comparethemarket.com in January and now has 450,000 fans on Facebook and over 16,000 followers on Twitter.

The 20 second advert has been created by advertising agency VCCP and can be seen on Channel 4, ITV1, Sky 1 and Five. The next primetime slot is 7.15pm between Emmerdale on Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
