moneysupermarket.com updates car insurance offering

10th September 2009 Print
moneysupermarket.com, UK price comparison site, has made a significant update to its car insurance offering by showing the total excess payable in the comparison results table.

When searching for car insurance consumers are prompted set the excess limit they wish to pay, however, in some cases insurers will also set a compulsory excess. moneysupermarket.com now clearly displays this in the results table, so that users of the car insurance comparison tool know exactly what level of excess they would be expected to pay if they were to opt for that particular policy.

Speaking of the update to the comparison results page, Steve Sweeney, head of car insurance at moneysupermarket.com said; "We understand how important it is to display all the important information about car insurance policies as clearly and as accurately as possible so consumers are able to make a fully informed decision. With this update I feel that we have been able to do just that so that the customer knows exactly what they are signing up for."

Moneysupermarket.com car insurance has also added new providers on to its panel. The latest car insurance additions are Santander and Elephant. Visitors to the car insurance comparison tool can now compare 117 prices.

Steve Sweeney added; "We are really pleased to be able to offer the widest choice of car insurers to customers visiting our website. We are confident that we have something for everyone and can offer the best deals available in the market."
